A2P 10DLC refers to the usage of 10 digit long-code numbers to send SMS traffic for business use cases, like marketing or appointment confirmations. Since 2020, some US mobile network operators like Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile have launched their own programs to protect their consumers from unwanted messages. These programs follow the “Messaging Principles and Best Practices” provided by the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA).
Please Note: All LeadWire SMS and MMS traffic qualifies as A2P 10DLC, program compliance applies to every customer.
With the end of centralizing and standardizing these programs, mobile operators appointed Campaign Registry as the central hub for Brand and Campaign registration for businesses intending to send SMS traffic through North America’s mobile networks. This registration has been required for LeadWire customers since July 2021. At this point we take care of this registration and customers only need to provide the required information while signing up for any of our pricing plans.
